Prompt Pack

Sora 2 A-Roll + B-Roll Prompt Pack for YouTube Tutorials

By Sarah Martinez 5 min read

Most tutorial videos fail in editing because shots do not connect. This pack gives you reusable A-roll and B-roll prompt structures that keep pacing smooth and transitions predictable.

A-roll prompt structure

Use this base line in all presenter shots:

[subject], centered medium shot, clean studio tutorial style, neutral daylight, subtle camera drift, clear focal separation

B-roll prompt structure

Use this for cutaways between talking segments:

[object/action], close-up detail shot, smooth lateral motion, cinematic tutorial b-roll, consistent color temperature

10 A-roll patterns

  • Hook line to camera, medium close-up
  • Hands-on demo with desk props
  • Screen explanation with over-shoulder framing
  • Mistake explanation with pause beat
  • Result reveal with push-in motion

Duplicate each pattern with two camera variants: static and slow dolly.

10 B-roll patterns

  • Keyboard interaction close-up
  • Timeline scrub and marker placement
  • Export button click detail
  • Before/after result clip
  • Checklist overlay background shot

Editing rule

Keep B-roll clips 2 to 3 seconds and align motion direction with surrounding A-roll. If A-roll camera drifts right, avoid left-drifting B-roll in the same beat.

Fast assembly workflow

  1. Generate 5 A-roll anchors first
  2. Generate 10 B-roll fillers next
  3. Assemble rough cut before color polish
  4. Add captions last for consistency
